At Shinn Funeral Service, we realize that our services do not end with the funeral ceremony. That is why we invite calls for informal counseling and support. We assist the family with insurance claims and veterans paperwork. We also provide an aftercare booklet series to families we serve. Referral service is provided for professional counseling and other local and national support groups. We have purchased books relating to death and dying, grief and the grieving process and have placed them in the local library for the benefit of all area residents. A list of these related library offerings is available on this web site. We welcome tours of our facility by any interested group or class. Understandably, these tours must be handled on an appointment basis.
Our membership and active involvement
Our membership and active involvement in National Funeral Directors Association, the Arkansas Funeral Directors Association, The Funeral Ethics Association and The International Order of the Golden Rule (OGR) recognize our commitment to funeral service. OGR, founded in 1928, is committed to helping independent funeral homes stay independent so funeral directors can focus on what is truly important. . . the FAMILY. Membership in these organizations offers us the opportunity for continuing our education to better serve you.
