Ava Ferne (Nanny) Phillips, age 90, of Russellville died Monday, July 31, 2023, at Russellville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born May 5, 1933, in Deer to Ira and Mary Williams Millsaps.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Russellville.  She graduated from Dover High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Phillips; a son, Kyle Phillips; a brother, James Millsaps; a sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Loren Daniels.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Dusqua and Kevin Moore of Russellville; two sisters-in-law, Clara Dotson of Dover and Glenda and Randall Caldwell of Wynne; three grandchildren and their spouses, Lauren and Sam Hall of The Woodlands, Texas, Megan and Phil Brick of Little Rock and Molly and Tyler Loop of Russellville; great-grandchildren, Eli, Wes, Will and Jake Hall, Phillip and Ruth Brick, and Cohen and Cooper Loop; special friends, Terry Fleniken and Marcella Joseph; and nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Owens Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Stephen Davis officiating and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00-6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
