Basil Lewis, age 67, of Alba, Texas, and formerly of Russellville, died October 31, 2022, at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas.

He was born June 5, 1955, in Clarksville, Arkansas to Cecil Dee and Florence Louise Devine Lewis. He enjoyed restoring old jet fighter pilot helmets.  He served in the Air Force, was a police officer which was followed by a long career as a semi-conductor engineer.  He was loved by all.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia "Pat" Luker.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Julie Lewis; son, Kyle Lewis and daughter, Jamie Lewis, both of Dallas, Texas, 2 stepchildren, Ashley Williams  of San Antonio, Texas and Cody Williams of Dallas, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, J. D. and Jan Lewis of Lancaster, Kentucky; and his coonhound, Beulah.

A family conducted memorial service will be held at a later date.  Local arrangements are by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
