Bea Place, age 77, of Richland, Washington, formerly of Russellville, died Friday, October 11, 2024, at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.  She was born June 29, 1947, in Fort Smith to Rupert and Helen Brown.

She retired from the Russellville School District after 18 years to travel with her husband.  She was a devoted mother, Nanny, and wife who loved her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Harris; and a great-grandson, Harlan James Brown.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Place of Richland, Washington; a daughter and son-in-law, Emiley and John Price of London; two sisters, Delia Rubelene (Ruby) Branch of Russellville and Barbara Louise Swinney of Christchurch, New Zealand; two step-sons, Doug and Adam Place; four grandchildren, Kynlee Noel and Kashlee Elyzabeth Price and Ashley and Breana Place; a great-granddaughter, Sophia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-6:00 p.m., on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Shinn Funeral Service.  A private burial will be held for the family at Pisgah Cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
