Ben “B.J.” Butler, age 45, of Russellville, died Thursday, October 1, 2026. He was born July 24, 1981, in Russellville.

He was elected in Bayless Township as a Constable, was a Yell County Deputy and owned The Rustic Rooster.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ollison and Wilma Ford and J.E. and Hazel McMath; cousins, Amanda Whorton and Amanda Harrison.

Survivors include a son, Bradley Butler of Russellville; parents, Sandra and Michael Butler of Fayetteville; a sister and brother-in-law, Audra and Jason Hankins of Siloam Springs; a nephew and two nieces, Emma, Sele and Liam Hankins of Siloam Springs; grandparents, Roy and Betty Butler of Russellville; and aunt and uncle, Doug and Lawania Ford of London.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2026, in the Shinn Chapel in Russellville with visitation to follow. A private burial for the family will be in Nogo Cemetery.
