Betty M. Thomas, age 87, of Benton, died Thursday, December 25, 2025, at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock.  She was born September 13, 1938, in Yell County to Faye and Nelia Forrest Magness.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was the Saline County Deputy Assessor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin brother, Billy Magness.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick A. and Karen Thomas of Alexander, Jon E and Susan Thomas of Little Rock and Alan R. Thomas of Benton; one grandson, Colton A. Thomas (Sarah) of Benton; and two great-grandchildren, Blakely E. Thomas and Bronson A. Thomas, both of Benton.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025,  in the Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Scotty Nalley officiating.  Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the chapel.

Pallbearers will be Patrick A. Thomas, Jon E. Thomas, Alan R. Thomas, Colton Thomas, Pete Hornibrook and Bryan Hendricks.
