Beverly
Hay
d. Sep 3, 2026
Beverly Hay, age 75, of Pottsville, departed this life on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at her home, surrounded by loved ones. She was born, March 2, 1951, in Russellville to James Alex and Alba Dena Bowden Ford.
She was a woman whose greatest gift was her heart. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend whose kindness, warmth, and unconditional love touched countless lives.
Beverly never met a stranger. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, valued, and loved. Whether you had known her for years or had just met her, she made you feel like you belonged. She opened her heart and her home to others and always seemed to have room for one more person to care about.
Beverly graduated from Pottsville High School in 1969 and went on to build a long and dedicated career, retiring from Arkansas Nuclear One. She worked hard throughout her life, always putting her family first and doing whatever she could to make sure the people she loved were taken care of.
Above all else, Beverly was a mother, and her children were her pride and joy. She was their biggest cheerleader, their safe place, and their constant source of encouragement. She attended countless sporting events, proudly stood on the sidelines, celebrated every accomplishment, and supported them through both the good times and the difficult ones. She didn't just show up for the big moments—she was there for all the little moments that make up a life. Her children never had to wonder if she was in their corner, she always was.
She taught them through the way she lived: to work hard, care for others, love their family, and always make room for one more person. Beverly showed them that love isn't simply something you say, it is something you show, every single day.
When she became a grandmother, Beverly's love only grew. She treasured her grandchildren and took great pride in watching them grow. Logan, Gracie, and Joey brought a special joy to her life, and she cherished every memory made with them.
Beverly also had a special love for basketball and was an avid Razorback basketball fan. She loved cheering for her beloved Hogs, but nothing compared to the joy she found in cheering for her family. To Beverly, there was always someone to encourage, someone to celebrate, and someone to love.
Although our hearts are broken by her absence, we are comforted knowing that the love she gave us will never leave us. We will miss her voice, her laughter, her hugs, her encouragement, and the comfort of simply knowing she was there.
Though she is no longer here to cheer us on from the sidelines, we will carry her love with us in everything we do. Every time we show kindness to someone, every time we gather together as a family, and every time we cheer someone on, a little piece of Beverly will be there.
Her love was her legacy. Her family was her greatest joy, and she will be loved, remembered, and missed more than words could ever express.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Hay; her siblings, Gloria Ford, Anita Adkison, and Douglas Ford; and her in-laws, Benjamin and Nell Howard.
She is survived by her children, Alicia Ford and Jason Hay (Paula); her grandchildren, Logan Connell (Alexa), Gracie Connell, and Joey Connell; her siblings, Ronnie Ford (Paulette), Dena Ford, and Christopher Ford; and her brother- and sister-in-law, Jeff and Sandy Howard.
The family would like to thank Hospice Home care and especially Alexis McNew, for all of the love, support and excellent care that she received.
Until we meet again, Mom. We love you forever.
