Obituary

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Bill A. Ware, age 72, of Russellville, on October 10, 2026. He was born February 12, 1954, in Russellville, to Bill and Becky Ware.

Bill served in the United States Air Force from June 1972 until May 1976. During his service, Bill advanced to Sergeant and specialized as a Weapon Control System Mechanic, a role that required technical expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining aircraft weapons and targeting systems. He spent just shy of two years of his service assigned to Ramstein Air Base in Germany. Bill returned home and went to work for International Paper, where he served the company diligently for 38 years.

He was a faithful follower of God, a true American Patriot, and a loving son, brother, and uncle. Bill was an avid bow hunter and fisherman who loved exploring the outdoors. He loved history in all its forms. He enjoyed reading about it and traveling to local areas that held historical value.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill (Leslie) Ware; a brother, Stan Ware; and a sister, Kathy Ross.

Bill leaves behind his mother, Becky Ware of Russellville; two sisters, Cindy and Steve Titsworth of Paris; Margaret and Andy Wiley of Alma; two brothers, Larry Ware of Russellville; Lee and Ana Ware of Kentucky; 6 nephews; 6 nieces; and numerous loving cousins and friends.
