Bonita Brown, age 81, of Atkins, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at her home. She was born on April 9, 1945, in Dardanelle, to M.C. and Ellie Mae Standridge Willis.

Above all else, Bonita’s life was defined by her unwavering faith and endless capacity for love. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with all her heart, walking through life grounded in faith, prayer and grace. The heart of her world was her beloved husband, Frank. Together, they shared a beautiful partnership of true devotion, quiet strength, and deep love. Her family and friends were her greatest joy and her life’s pride. She poured her heart into everyone around her, offering a warm home, an open door, a listening ear, and a steady, comforting presence. To know Bonita was to feel genuinely loved, and the light of her faith and devotion to her husband and family will remain as her lasting legacy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Cliff Willis, Carl Willis and Thomas Willis.

She is survived by her loving husband, Vernon Franklin Brown; a son, Eddie Brown (Becky); three daughters, Mona Brown, Shelly Brown (Chukis) and Kirsten Brown; three brothers, Troy Willis (Jewell), Albert Willis (Bonnie) and Charles Willis (Theresa); one sister, Pat Marshall (Fred); 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
