Casandra Nicole Short, age 40, of Russellville went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at her home with her parents.  She was born June 7, 1983, in Clarksville to Brad and Cindy Short.

She attended church at Russellville Christian Center where worshipping and hearing the Word of God was a blessing to her.  She was a Magnum Cum Laude graduate from Arkansas Tech University with a bachelor's in management and marketing. Casandra was a caretaker and an entrepreneur.  She spent many years caring for others and 12 years teaching children about the love of Jesus as a children's pastor.  But above all, she loved her family.  She enjoyed traveling and going to the beach. One of her favorite pastimes was picking from the garden and spending time in the kitchen with her mom.

Survivors include her parents; a brother, Jeremiah Short of Russellville; a sister and brother-in-law, Gabrielle Short-Buford and Cody of Eureka Springs; a niece, Myranda Buford of Eureka Springs; and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 10, 2023, at Russellville Christian Center with Pastor Susan Allen officiating.  Burial will be in North New Hope Cemetery, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
