Clarice "Chris" Faye Severns, age 88, of Russellville, died Monday, December 15, 2025, in Russellville.  She was born on January 10, 1937, in Columbus, Kansas to James Harvey and Vera Katherine Dalby Martin.

She was a member of Agape Community Church in Atkins.  She was a Hospice volunteer and played piano for different area nursing homes.  She graduated at the age of 63, from the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton with a business degree with highest honors.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, J.C. Martin and an infant brother.

Survivors include three sons, Martin David Mitchell of Walker, Louisiana, James Leonard Mitchell  and Timothy Alan Mitchell both of Russellville; a daughter, Rebecca Rae Valentine of Russellville; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ron Martin of Columbus, Gary and Brenda Martin of Columbus, Ray and Connie Martin of Quapaw, Oklahoma and Dale Martin of Joplin, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Carrie, Brian, Logan, Valerie, Trent, Zackary and Jayme; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

A family conducted memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Agape Community Church in Atkins.  Burial will be private in Columbus, Kansas.
