Clifford Stayton, age 91, of London, died Monday, February 15, 2021.  He was born December 8, 1929, in Winnett, Montana to Clifford Lee and Hazel Carol Brown Stayton.

He was a United States Air Force Sergeant stationed in Panama where he also raced flat track motorcycles and scuba dived. He later raced hardtop race cars, and raised four children. He retired from the California Department of Justice where he was a peace officer.  He also spent many years as a Cub Scout Master.  He enjoyed boxing, feeding animals, birds, and camping, along with fishing, hunting, and in later years bowling until he was 90.  He was a loving husband, son, father, and grandfather, who will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Shirley Marie Stayton; his four children, Susie, Carol (Dan), Clifford Jr. (Patricia) and Dale; six grandchildren, Shannon, Jared, Lonnie, Clifford, Christina and Keila; and 10 great-grandchildren, Tristen, Greyson, Riley, Emilee, Clifford on the way, Evelyn, Angelica, Aidan, Finnley and Audrey.

All services are private and arrangements are by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
