Concetta Mathis, age 58, of Russellville, departed this life Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at her home. She was born July 23, 1962, to Joseph and Nancy Heaton Wilson.

Concetta was a member of the Journey Church and was a lead usher there. She attended the Arkansas Bear Dance Society and also the Native Sweat. She was involved in Narcotics Anonymous and a long time drug rehabilitation counselor with 21 years of sobriety under her belt. She made a true effort to make everyone feel special.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Michelle Mathis.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Ray Mathis; two sons, Marc and Samantha Mathis and Michael Lee Mathis; one daughter, Maria Desantiago; three brothers, Joe Wilson, Christopher and Em Heaton and Joe Heaton; one sister, Carol Heaton; 12 grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 30, 2021, in Shinn Chapel, with visitation to follow, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
