Connie Koenes, age 75, of Dover, died Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. She was born May 14, 1948, in Harrison, to Oscar Berlin and Sylvia Juanita Cowell Shelton.

Connie was a member of Dover First Baptist Church. Her passion was teaching, where she made a huge impact on every one of her student's lives, however, she loved her family more than anything. Spending time with her grandchildren and tending to her plants brought her much joy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Koenes, and her sister, Susan Shelton.

She is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie Shelton, Dana and Chris Blair, Briana Shelton Victory, Ginger and Dennis Johnson and DeAnna and Wade Hunter; a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Don Rose; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; along with other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 15, 2024, at Dover First Baptist Church, with Pastor Jeff Paxton officiating. A private burial will be in Deer Cemetery, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends Thursday, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
