David Duryea, age 70, of Pottsville died Sunday, December 12, 2021, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.  He was born January 11, 1951, in Russellville to Dennis Henry and Lula Christine Grady Duryea.

He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War and worked as a millwright.  He was an amazing woodworker, craftsman, excellent cook, and gardener.  He was the man with all the answers.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Betty Duryea; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jamie and Kevin Stafford of Fayetteville and Rhonda and Andy Greenfield of Baltimore, Maryland; five grandchildren, Zach (Hailie) Stafford, Bailey Stafford (Corbin Reeves) all of Fayetteville, and Samuel Timothy, Miles Elijah, and Jordan Elizabeth Greenfield of Baltimore, Maryland; two great-grandchildren, Bentlee Stafford and Everlee Stafford of Fayetteville; two brothers; three sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

An open visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, from 1:00-4:00 p.m., with family receiving friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Military honors will be provided by the VFW Post 2283 on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
