Donnie Cobb, age 73, went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday February 25, 2021, after being hospitalized at Baptist Memorial. Donnie was born June 29, 1947 to Donald and Opal Cobb in DesArc Arkansas.

Donnie proudly served his country in Vietnam. He was a SGT, E-6 Platoon Leader of Manchu 25th Army Infantry Division. Donnie was awarded a Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Vietnam Service Medal and a Vietnam Military Merit Medal for distinguished achievement and acts of heroism.

He was Co-Owner of S&C Brick mason for 17 years in Des Arc Arkansas, where he worked as a skilled brick mason and carpenter. Donnie was the original manager of Ridout Lumber Company in Russellville Arkansas. He retired from Ridout Lumber Company in 2016 after 33 years of service.

He was an avid outdoorsman who was instrumental in forming the Arkansas Tech Fishing Program. Donnie served as one of the programs first volunteer coaches. Donnie was well known for his volunteer work in designing and building the "Sweet Spot" Ramp, the Lake Dardanelle Weigh in Pavilion and numerous docks in Lake Dardanelle.

Donnie Cobb was a genuine man who loved his family and friends with all of his heart. Donnie always made time to take anyone fishing and was always willing to help with a tournament. Even after retirement Donnie enjoyed working with his contractors and providing input on any job. Donnie was deeply loved by all of his family and friends, he will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his stepmother Ruby Cobb.

He is survived by the love of his life Shari Cobb, his Mother-In-Law Virginia Kelley, four sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Danielle Cobb, Justin Cobb, Chris and Carolyne Tucker, Matt and April Tucker, Alex Davis Cobb and his mother Beth Davis; his pride and joys, his grandkids, Ginger, Summer, Krista, Kylee, Jaxson, Mace, Carson, Brooke and Rylee; his siblings and their spouses, Shirley and Rick Ramick, Rodger and Donna Cobb, Cynthia and Danny Pirani.

In true fashion a family conducted memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. March 4, 2021, at Lake Dardanelle State Park. Due to parking the family is encouraging guests to arrive at 12:30pm.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to a local high school fishing program.
