Doretha Gray Stewart, age 90, of Fort Smith, formerly of Russellville, died Friday, July 18, 2025, at her home. She was born April 21, 1935, in Bigelow, to Herschel Harvey and Eula Gill Gray.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Stewart; and a son, Keith Stewart.

She is survived by three daughters, Karren (Ivy) Stewart Alexander of Tulsa, Oklahoma,  Debra (James) Stewart Cole of Fort Smith and Ednasue Gray-Davis of Little Rock; two sons, Kelvin (C K Williams) W. Stewart of Forrest City and Johnny Chenault of Russellville; two sisters, Dr. Viola Ellison of Pine Bluff and Vera Randle of Bigelow; and a host of family and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Lee Dorsey officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
