Ed Harness, age 77, of London, died Sunday, September 17, 2023, at his home. He was born February 19, 1946, in Little Rock to Ed and Grace Harness.

Ed was a business owner, and a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the 82'nd Airborne. He was also a member of Martin Chapel Assembly of God. He enjoyed going to church, gardening, woodworking, and most of all spending time with family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mac Harness; a sister, Janice Lipps; and a granddaughter, Andrea Nicole Holloway.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Harness; a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Kate Harness; a daughter and son-in-law, Ronna and Earl Barber; a brother, Jack Harness; four grandchildren, Sara (Brenton) Webb, Katherine Peyton Holloway, Miranda (Kole) Gray, and Hannah (Stephen) Harris; and six great-grandchildren, Lilly, Maddy, Anna Claire, Carter, Isaac, and Ellie.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Martin Chapel Assembly of God, with Pastor Jerry Ferguson, and Pastor Danny Green officiating. Burial with military honors will be in East Point Cemetery, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m., until service time at the church.

Pallbearers are Earl Barber, Kole Gray, Stephen Harris, Brenton Webb, Jeff Snider and Jason Harness.
