Elva Duvall, age 101, of Moreland, died Friday, November 24, 2023, at Atkins Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born March 20, 1922, in the Carden Bottoms, in Yell County, to Joe and Delia Standridge Ewton.

She was a homemaker and was a "Rosie the Riveter" working in a military airplane manufacturing plant in Oklahoma, during World War II.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C. J. Duvall; two sons, Bobby Hurst and Carl Duvall; three brothers; and a sister.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Vicki Duvall of Moreland; a daughter, Joyce Estep of Moreland; nine grandchildren, Tina Southard, Dustin Duvall, Chesley Esserman, David Estep, James Hurst, William Hurst, Judy Duvall, Sandra Collins, all of Moreland and Connie Williams of North Carolina; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, in Hudson Cemetery near Moreland with the Rev. Terry Duvall officiating, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
