Frank Meimerstorf, age 88, of Russellville died Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Dardanelle Regional Medical Center.  He was born January 7, 1933, in Pope County to Willie August and Laura Janell Poynter Meimerstorf.

He married Bonnie D. Smith on August 24, 1956.  He was an employee of Bibler Lumber for 65 years before his retirement last week.  He preferred to be in the lumber yard, that was his paradise.  He was an avid member of his East Point and Mill Creek Community.  He was a life-long member of East Point Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher for many years.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie D. Meimerstorf; his infant sister, Violet Lucille Smith; sisters, Lou Ellen Johnson Metz, Bonnie Higby; brothers, Bob Meimerstorf and Paul Meimerstorf; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cecil O. and Kathleen Smith; sister-in-law, Helga Meimerstorf; and brothers-in-law, Walter Renfroe, Billy Bowden, Tommy Martin and Darren Johnson.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Janice Meimerstorf of Russellville; a daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Johnny Snoddy of Russellville; his sisters, Helen Renfroe, Pat Bowden, Mary Martin and Judy Hale (Delbert); brother-in-law, Doug Higby; three grandchildren, Rusty Meimerstorf and Stacy and Greg Dudley, all of Russellville; and a great-granddaughter, Abigal Kathleen Ledford of Russellville.

The graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 16, 2021, at East Point Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Pless and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Pallbearers will be Greg Dudley, Todd Meimerstorf, Roy Renfroe, David Renfroe, Troy Renfroe, Travis Renfroe, Joey Meimerstorf, and Mike Martin.
