Gary Kimball, age 68, of Dover, died Thursday, April 21, 2022, at his home.  He was born September 23, 1953, in Fairview, Oklahoma to Allen and Eloise Kimball.

Some of his favorite things include camping, spending time with his family, playing with his grandkids, taking pictures of the scenery on their trips, and rebuilding his 1978 Ford F-250 retired brush truck, "Red."

He served in various roles over 25 years at the Linker Mountain Fire Department and was president of the Pope County Fire Association.

He retired from Mahle after more than 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his mother; his grandparents, Walton and Freda Dedrick; his brother, Randy Wheeler; his father-and mother-in-law, Charles and Nona Duvall; and his stepmother, Niva Kimball.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Glenda Kimball; their daughters and sons-in-law, Ginny and Walt Reding of Bismarck; their children, Asher and Emilia, and Gina and Robbie Dixon of Copperas Cove, Texas; their daughters, Emma and Aubrey; his father; siblings, Ruby and James Sutherland of Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, Carolyn and Ralph Griggs of Springdale, Bill and Karen Kimball of Taloga, Oklahoma, Bob Kimball of Beaumont, Texas, Linda and Arlos Dotson, Kim and the late Randy Wheeler, Arlis Wheeler, and Jearl Wheeler, all of Dover; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at the Shinn Chapel with Tammy Dalton officiating.  Burial will be in McFadden Cemetery at Dover under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00-6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Duvall, Kevin Duvall, Cole Duvall, Cooper Duvall, Billy Smardo, Jason Drew, Jordan Duvall, and Zachary Vaughn.
