Guy Trantham, age 89, of Russellville, died Friday, January 6, 2023, at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home. He was born June 18, 1933, in Buffalo, Missouri, to Hubert and Lesta Marie Combs Trantham.

Guy served in the United States Navy from 1952-1957. He was stationed aboard the USS Renshaw as an Interior Commnications Electrician during the Korean War and participated in Operation Castle. Post military service, he was an avid woodworker, tinkerer, and builder. He was also a motorcycle enthusiast who continued to take cross country trips well into his 70's.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Carol Trantham; two sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Wayne (Pamela), and Gene Allen Trantham; a sister, Joyce Tuer; and two grandchildren.

The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 12, 2023, at the Shinn Chapel, with Pastor Roy Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
