Harold Walker Chronister, age 94, of Gravel Hill, died Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Dardanelle Nursing Center.  He was born May 14, 1930, in Gravel Hill to Hobart Shannon and Thelma Jewell Nowlin Chronister.

He was a farmer and was known for his apple orchard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Rayburn, Henry and H. S. Chronister; and four sisters, Bonnie Troutt, Earlene Simpson, Jettie Burris and Martha Rickett.

Survivors include two brothers and a sister-in-law, Wendell Chronister of Troy, Missouri, and Calvin and Phyllis Chronister of Dardanelle.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the Shinn Chapel with Mr. Scott Roderick officiating under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.  The burial will be private in Hudson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
