Homer Dale Midwell, age 80, of Russellville, died Thursday, November 20, 2025, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.  He was born March 19, 1945, in Marked Tree to Coy and Verlie Wolf Midwell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Midwell; and two brothers, John Midwell and James Midwell.

Survivors include two sons, J. C. Midwell of Monroe, Louisiana and Jesse Midwell of Dover; a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila Ann and Boyd Hunter of Pottsville; two brothers, Ray Midwell and Marvin Midwell; nine grandchildren, Tyler, Chloe, Jakob, Joanna, Allison, Shannon, Scottie, Kolton, and Janessa; and three great-grandchildren, Landyn, Lane and Jacan.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Norman Chenowith officiating.  Burial will be in Phoenix Cemetery on Buck Mountain under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the chapel.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Midwell, Jakob Midwell, Landyn Jamell, Lane Jamell, Jacan Crouch, and Jacob Lambert.
