Hungly Xuan Luu, age 43, of Russellville died Thursday, December 17, 2020, at his home.  He was born July 8, 1977, in De Queen to Hung Xuan and Marian Alaniz Luu, who currently reside in Mena.

He was a member of Crow Mountain Baptist Church where he served as a youth minister. He worked for United Rentals in Russellville. He enjoyed cooking for his family, fishing and playing video games with his son.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Luu Van Vinh and Huynh Kieu; maternal grandfather, Pete Alaniz; three uncles; two aunts; and his father-in-law, David W. Jones.

Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Jeannie Jones Luu; his son, Bruce Xuan Luu; his parents; a sister, Samantha Luu of Los Angeles, California; his mother-in-law, Peggy Jones; maternal grandmother, Myrna Alaniz; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Crow Mountain Baptist Church with the Rev. Howard Kisor officiating.  Burial will be private and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m., until service time at the church.
