Ida Louise Rich, age 79, of Hector, died Monday, January 3, 2022, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born August 21, 1942, in Dardanelle, to William Levi and Ora Floe Crites Norris.

She was a member of Hector First Baptist Church. She loved cooking for her family and spending time with her grandbabies. She also enjoyed watching daytime soap operas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Janice Kay Newell; two brothers William and Maxie Norris; and a sister Johnnie McElroy.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years Donald Rich; five sons, Arthur, David, John, and Rickey Joe Newell, William Rich; two daughters, Gail Gadberry and Jeanette De La Cruz; four brothers Claudie, Charles, James, and Johnny Lee Norris; grandchildren Randy Newell, Amanda Mathews and Rickey Don Newell, plus 22 more; and 56 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at the Shinn Chapel, with Pastor A.J. Newell officiating, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
