Jacque Edwina Briggs, age 97, of Russellville, died Friday, June 14, 2024, at Legacy Lodge Nursing Center.  She was born November 25, 1926, at Havanna to Lloyd Leonard and Emma Olive Brown Shade.

She retired from Con Agra in Russellville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Bufford Briggs and a son, Shannon Briggs.

She is survived by five nieces, Rene' Dulaney of Tucson, Arizonia , Ruth Gruchow of Orange, California, Helen Mitchell of Beckemeyer, Illinois, Virginia Huusko of Carlyle, Illinois and Anne Shans of Illinois; two nephews, Ronald Apple of Ft. Smith and Mark Pike of Orange, California; and a special friend, Tom Neumeier of Russellville.

Burial will be private in Rest Haven Memorial Park under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
