James "J.E." McMath, age 90, of Russellville, went to be with Jesus on Friday, May 14, 2021, at Saint Vincent's Hospital in Little Rock. He was born June 10, 1930, in Charleston, to Roy Rosco and Nanny Mae Bonner McMath.

He was a veteran of the United States Army.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Hazel May McMath; two sons, Melvin McMath and Mike Bournes; and a sister, Agnes Vaught.

He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, James Carol and Dini Bournes, Jimmie and Paula McMath, and Jerry and Roxanne McMath; two daughters and a son-in-law, Debbie McMath and Lorneva and Tom Forrester; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at the Shinn Chapel, with the Rev. Eddie Rogers officiating. Burial will be at Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
