Janice Holmes-Moore, age 78, of Russellville, closed her eyes in sleep taking her final rest, to be awaken in days to come by the Advent of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus on September 29, 2023. She was born June 29, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois, to James Henry SR. and Amelia R. Rivers-Holmes.

She married a strong, loving, devoted, caring husband, Richard Moore, where they lived in Chicago, Illinois, before they both moved a few years later to reside in Russellville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Moore; a son, Phillip James Holmes, who was loving and caring to his mother; a fraternal twin brother, James Henry "Butch" Jr.; and three sisters, Audrey, Jean, and Joan.

She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Jerome "Jerry" and Greta George, along with a large host of wonderful grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In our present day she will be greatly missed, but the living having hope look to the Advent of Christ where we will all have a reunion in faith.

Some of her favorite scriptures were 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18/ 1 Corinthians 15: 51-58/ Revelations 1:7/ Isaiah 40: 27-31.
