Jerry Croft, age 80, of Russellville, died Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at his home. He was born April 20, 1944, in Pine Bluff to Freddy C. and Jevota Bell Nolan Croft.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during Vietnam and was a double Purple Heart recipient. He worked for the United States Postal Service where he retired. Jerry enjoyed fishing, gardening, and collecting rocks and crystals. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas W. Croft; a brother, Thomas Croft; and four sisters, Freda Rogers, Zonna Hill, Judy Rhoden and Johanna.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mary Croft; a daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Anthony McElroy; five grandchildren, Timothy Croft, Thomas Croft Jr. (T.J.), Justin McElroy, Aaron McElroy and Alyssa McElroy; and 6 great-grandchildren.

The graveside service will be private in East Point Cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
