Joe Stone Deavours, age 95, of Dover, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at his home, surrounded by family. He was born December 25, 1928, in Hugo, Oklahoma, to Martin and Maudie Lee Henderson Deavours.

He was an avid collector of anything with a motor. From cars and trucks to boats and motorcycles. He loved spending time on his mower maintaining his property, as well as playing cards and dominos with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sons, Mike, Jerry and Jeff Deavours.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Deavours; a son and daughter-in-law, Joe Stone (Linda) Deavours Jr.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Cindee and Mike LaRue, Jenny Lefevre and Shawn Phipps, Dorothy and Roger Fugett and Vicki Babb; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

All other services are private, with arrangements under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
