John Reynolds Strickland, age 78, of Russellville, died Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home.  He was born January 22, 1942, delivered by Dr. Millard of Millard Henry Clinic in Russellville to John Orville and Mary Reynolds Strickland.  He was a member of Russellville First Baptist Church, was a manager at De Soto Furniture Manufacturing and retired from Arkansas Nuclear One.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Dean Henry Strickland; a son and daughter-in-law, John David and Lori Strickland of Sheridan; a daughter and son-in-law, Sue Carol and Robert Watkins of Little Rock; a brother and sister-in-law Louis and Donna Strickland of Bixby, Oklahoma and several nephews and nieces.

A private graveside service for the family will be in Oakland Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Cloud officiating and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
