Joyce (Bell)
Aday
Jan 6, 1937 — Sep 5, 2025
Hector
Joyce (Bell) Aday, age 88, of Hector, left this life and entered her Heavenly Home on Friday, September 5, 2025. She was born January 6, 1937, in Smyrna to Sebastian and Elsie Mae Pack Bell.
She married Lyle Aday on September 10, 1955, and they would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this Wednesday.
She loved her Lord and savior Jesus Christ and loved to worship him with her beautiful alto voice. She was a member of Hector Free Will Baptist Church where she attended faithfully. She loved her church, and her church family, who she considered some of her closest relationships. The only ones elevated above her church family were her kids, grandkids, and beloved siblings; nieces and nephews. She demonstrated her love in the kitchen by serving many meals around her kitchen table. The grandkids adored her quiet little smile and her short sass.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Winston Lyle Aday; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Cleatis (Fern) Bell, Cleveland (Irene) Bell, Donnie Bell and Clinton Bell; her brother-in-law, Leon Freeman; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Purna Bell, Pearl (Jack) Gregory, Pauline (Cleve) Casey, Patsy (Dean) Housley and Mary Bell; sister-in-law, Pauline Bell; and a niece, JoAnn Tanneyhill.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Lyle E. Aday; son and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Charla Aday; two daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Roy Chisum and Sherry and Terry Bull; her grandchildren and their spouses, Keith Bull, Brec and Stephen Duvall, Andy and Sydney Chisum, Anthony Chisum, Andrea and Jamey Coffman, Leslie and Matt Hassel, Trent Aday, Jessica and Cody Kurtzo; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; brothers and sister-in-law, Cleo Bell, John and Joyce Bell, Para Lee Freeman; and sister-in-law, Shirley Bell.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Hector Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Franky Gregory and Rev. Charles King officiating. Burial will be in Nogo Cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
