Kathryn Gale Garrigus, age 80, of Russellville died Friday, November 19, 2021, at Legacy Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born December 11, 1940, in Scottsville to James Soleman and Delphia Proctor Murphy.

She was a member of Rock Springs Community Church and was a cook for the Hector Schools for 27 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Garrigus; a son, Paul Garrigus; two brothers, Don and Elzer Murphy; and a sister, Rozell Petty.

Survivors include two grandchildren, Josh and Mandy Garrigus and Joseph Garrigus all of Hector; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Garrigus of Hector; four great-grandchildren, Chasity, Cricket, Christina, and John David Garrigus all of Hector; a niece and her spouse, Rhonda and Terry Anderson of Hector; a nephew, Keith Marable of Hector; and several cousins, and many other relatives and friends.

A family conducted graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 3, 2021, at Rock Springs Cemetery near Hector with the Rev. Jeremy Mathis officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
