Laura Waller, age 51, of Russellville, died Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Baptist Health in Little Rock. She was born June 14, 1971, in Elgin, Illinois, to Robert Harold and Kay Mairlyn Krueger Ballschmiede.

She served her community in Marengo, Illinois, as police and as a D.A.R.E. officer, and was an avid Disney fan. She was also a gymnastics coach, a cheerleader, and a competitive power lifter at Western Illinois University.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Robert, and Marilyn Ballschmiede; her maternal grandparents, Arthur, and Mary Krueger; and her sister, Lana DeShaw.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Michael Albert Waller; two nieces, Ava Waller and Jessica Mayfield; two nephews, her Godchild, Ethan Waller, and Cody Mayfield; a great-niece, Adalyn; her lifelong friend, Rick Gamboa; along with numerous other friends.

A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at the funeral home. Burial will be private and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
