Lorene Jane Howie, age 77, of Russellville, died Monday, July 17, 2023, at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs.  She was born January 16, 1946, in Lurton to George Washington and Perna Arizona Reddell Freeman.

She was a member of Bakers Creek Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Stacey Howie.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Stacy and James West of Russellville and Cindy and Joe Ford of Russellville; a brother, L.D. Freeman of Dover; two sisters, Angeline Payne of Russellville and Eveylene Carr of Russellville; four grandchildren, Thomas Apple Jr., Tiffany Ford, Makayla Horton and Kyle Horton all of Russellville; three step-grandchildren, Brittany Scantling of Dover, Brent West of Russellville and Brieanna West of Russellville; a great-grandson, Logan Ryker Herring of Russellville; and other great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 21, 2023, at the Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Tim Via officiating.  Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00-6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
