Macie Irene Ward, age 91, of Russellville, departed this life Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Stella Manor Nursing Home. She was born March 29, 1931, in Dardanelle, to Joseph Hoil and Esther Ella Penix Whitbey.

She loved spending time outside working in her garden, canning food, and sewing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Neil Ward; six brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Marsha Ward, and Dennis and Pam Ward; a daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Kenny Gray; six grandchildren, Lesley Albert, Kelley Hodges, Chris, Greg, Andy, and Ashlyn Ward; and 5 great grandchildren, Madison Hodges, Adalee, Mareika, Cameron, and Conner Ward; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2022, in the Shinn Chapel, with the Rev. David Bishop officiating. Burial will be in North New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 31, 2022, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff of Stella Manor for the wonderful care that they have received while taking care of their mom and dad over the years.
