Maggie Lou Ricketts, age 82, of Dover died Monday, January 10, 2022, at Paris Health and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born August 25, 1939, in Pope County to Walter James and Georgia Carolina Yow Brown.

She attended Pleasant Grove Assembly of God. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery and making quilts. Maggie loved to garden and tend to her flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Ricketts; two brothers, Danny and Floyd Brown; and a sister, Betty Brown.

Survivors include her daughter, Rheba Smith of Atkins; two grandchildren, Randy Smith of Delaware and Brandy Smith of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin; two brothers, Walter Loyd Brown of Atkins, and Lynn Brown of Dover; two sisters, Lena Lay Bates of Dover, and Susan Bradley of Dover; 13 nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Pleasant Grove Assembly of God with the Rev. Jackie Pledger and the Rev. Clint Craig officiating.  Burial will be in Booger Hollow Cemetery near Dover and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m., until service time at the church.

Pallbearers will be Michael Brown, Jason Brown, Jeff Brown, Robert Griffin, T.J. Lay and Jared Murphy.
