Mary Frances Martin, age 79, of Dardanelle, died Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Dardanelle Nursing Center. She was born January 22, 1944, in Pope County, to William August and Laura Janell Pointer Meimerstorf.

She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Dardanelle and retired as a cook for Dardanelle Public Schools.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Thomas Wayne Martin; three brothers, Bob, Frank and Paul David Meimerstorf; two sisters, Lou Ella Metz and Bonnie Higby.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Donna Martin; three sisters and brother-in-law, Helen Renfroe, Patricia Bowden of Florida and Judy and Delbert Hale; and two grandchildren, Hope and Christopher Martin.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at the Shinn Chapel, with the Rev. Paul Farnam officiating. Burial will be in East Point Cemetery, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends Monday, August 7, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
