Obituary

Mary Ann Crowell Lancaster, 88, of Russellville, met her Lord and Savior on April 4, 2021.  She was born August 18, 1932 in Houston, Arkansas to Irene and Chester Crowell.

Mary Ann married Bob Lancaster on September 5, 1954.  They were married 61

years. Mary Ann was a faithful church member and enjoyed Bible Study Fellowship. She attended Gaines Street Baptist and Geyer Springs First Baptist Church during her years in Little Rock. Most recently, Mary Ann was a member of First Baptist Church Russellville for 25 years. Her favorite Bible verse was Romans 14:8. Mary Ann was a 1950 graduate of Little Rock Central High School.  Her business career as a bookkeeper included Imperial Laundry & Cleaner, International Business Forms, Jacuzzi Brothers, and Hoerner Box Company.  But her best career of all was being a homemaker to her two children and the best "NeeNaw" to her five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  She was everyone's cheerleader no matter the sport or event.  You could always count on NeeNaw.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Charlie Davis; her husband, Bob; and brother, Billy Crowell.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Becky and David Bauman of

Russellville; one son, Doug and Denise Lancaster of Camden; five grandchildren, Bethany and Larry Walker, Amberley and Joe Futterer, Stephen and Jessica Lancaster, Brant and Kara Bauman and Rachel and Jesse Castleberry; twelve great-grandchildren, Carson, Weston, Callie, and Witt Walker, Elsy, Addler, Millie, and Henry Futterer, Elizabeth and Nelson Bauman, Cora Lancaster, and Emma Castleberry; a sister-in-law, Pat Crowell; along with other family and friends.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Russellville First Baptist Church.  The Rev. Greg Sykes and the Rev. Larry Walker will officiate under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. The worship center doors will open at 10:30 a.m. for a time of public viewing. Visitation with the family will be in the foyer immediately following the service with a private interment in Rest Haven Memorial Park.

The family wishes to express all our love and thankfulness to her in-home help,

Edna, Sherrial, Tricia, Rachel and the wonderful staff of Kindred Hospice.
