Michael Alan Cochran, of Atkins, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the age of 58 at Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith. He was the son of Ira and Margaret Una Lee Garrigus Cochran.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Nita Mobley.

Michael is survived by his brother Robert (Georgianna) of Little Rock; and two sisters, Donna (Vic) Wall of Atkins and Mary Gibson of Harrison. A host of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and nephews and a great-grandnephew.

Michael was a craftsman with an artist's eye. His talent helped to create many specialized designs for his clients during his career as a flooring and tile designer/installer. Michael loved his family and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved many types of music, but heavy metal was his favorite. He also loved his AKC Registered Bulldogs. Always ready with a witty comeback, he had a quiet, reserved sense of humor. Michael is now reunited with Mom, Dad and Neenee.

Rest easy baby brother.

Michael's memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Paul Milner officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the chapel.
