Nancy Georgina LaTorre, age 87, of Russellville, died Friday, May 7, 2021, at Stella Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 20, 1933 in Benton, Illinois, to George and Julia Jarvis.

Nancy was a veteran of the US Air Force. She worked as one of the first female managers of Winn Dixie Stores in Alabama.   She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed sewing and crocheting.  She was actively involved in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, serving as a den mother, and was an officer in the NCO Wives club.  She and Joseph were members in a square-dancing club and loved camping and playing pinochle with friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph LaTorre; a brother Robert Jarvis; and a sister Sandra Jarvis Barnes.

Nancy is survived by two daughters, Regina Tarvin-Rice (husband Charles Rice) and Sabrina Baker (husband Richard Baker); a son, Mark LaTorre; three grandsons, Joseph LaTorre, Christopher Baker and William Tarvin; three granddaughters, Jennifer Feltman, Diana Ellis and Christina Bartlett; eight great-grandchildren; along with other family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Rest Haven Memorial Park, with Gwen Steenhoven and Father Martin Amaro officiating, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
