Nettie Frances Whitfield, age 97, of Burns, Tennessee, formerly of Casa, died Friday, June 3, 2022, in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born July 25, 1924, in Casa to Oscar and Pearl Vint.

She was a member of the Burns Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Whitfield; two brothers, Infant and Don Vint; a sister Bonnie Bishop; and a nephew, Larry Via.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Stanley and Gayle Whitfield of Burns, Tennessee, and Michael and Ellen Harrison of Rockford, Illinois; five grandchildren and their spouses, Jacob and Jess Whitfield of Oakland, Tennessee, Mary Therese Harrison Rockford, Illinois, Danielle and Rob Schlichting of Caledonia, Illinois, Matthew Harrison and Lisa Marks of Machesney Park, Illinois and Jason and Ana Harrison of Romeoville, Illinois; and her great-grandchildren, Kinsley Whitfield, and Bennett Whitfield both of Oakland, Tennessee, Noah Schlichting, Reese Schlichting, Avery Schlichting and Graham Schlichting all of Caledonia, Illinois, Benton Harrison of Machesney Park, Illinois, Dante Harrison, Diego Harrison, Lucero Diaz, and Lloaly Diaz all of Romeoville, Illinois.

The graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2022, at Casa Cemetery with Mr. Oran Burt officiating and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Tanner, Gary Rainey, Ernie Weir, Matthew Harrison, Jacob Whitfield, and Jason Harrison.
