Norma Hawkins, age 85, of Russellville, died Monday, January 27, 2025, in Russellville. She was born March 11, 1939, in Poplar Grove, to Eugene Coleman and Hilley Ernestine Blair DeCamp.

Norma was a seamstress for many years at Bobbie Brooks Clothing in West Helena, Arkansas. She was later employed at, and retired from, Riverside Furniture in Russellville. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and raised her children in a Christian home. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and formerly taught the women's Sunday school class.

Norma was the matriarch of the Hawkins family, was dearly loved by the family, and will be deeply missed. She earned respect not only from her own children, but from numerous nieces and nephews. It was known within the family that if Momma or Aunt Norma said it, you'd better do it.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Floyd DeCamp; a sister, Rosemary Brown; and two half-sisters, Frances Wilkerson and Geraldine Mauldin.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Walter Hawkins Sr.; four sons, Walter Jr., Sid (Allison), Michael (Rebecca), and Clinton (Ronda); a daughter, Jean-Marie (Divina); a sister, Lavenia Gregory; six grandchildren, Jeffery, Shannon, Jackie, Patrick, Jonathan, and Brian; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2025, at Grace Baptist Church, with Pastor Roger Pearce officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
