Opal Lee Cole, age 85, of Russellville, died Monday, January 2, 2023, at Baptist Health and Medical in Little Rock.  She was born September 11, 1937, in Caglesville to Oral and Grace Russell Reid.

She was a devoted Christian, a loving wife, mother, and "Opie" to all of her grands.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ellen Goode.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Cole; three daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah And Kenny Hill of Atkins, Roberta and Steve Horton of Conway and Lena and Gabby Galloway of Moore, Oklahoma; a step-son and his spouse, Wayne and Jo Ann Cole of Russellville; a step-daughter and her spouse, Linda and Larry Lay of Atkins; two sisters, Betty Baker of Russellville and Margaret Mulder of Tennessee; 13 grandchildren, Deronda Hill, Beth Willcut, Kitty Byers, Derek Whitman, Noah Horton, Jennie Horton, Arlander Galloway, Joshua Galloway, Jessalyn Galloway, Leanne Emmerson, Shasta Nichols, Brandon Cole and Michael Lay; 57 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2023, at the Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Roy Smith officiating.  Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery near Appleton, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00-6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Josh Galloway, Jessalyn Galloway, Noah Horton, Devin Roberts, Corey Jones, Craig Byers and Todd Willcut.
