Patrick "Gerry"
Quigley
Jul 14, 1943 — Jan 21, 2026
Russellville
Patrick "Gerry" Quigley, age 82, of Russellville, died Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at his home. He was born July 14, 1943, in Strabane, Northern Ireland to Eugene and Ann Duffy Quigley. Gerry, his wife Susan (Agnes) and their four children immigrated to the United States in September of 1979 and settled in the Houston area prior to moving to Connecticut and then Russellville with Gerry's job.
Gerry excelled in track and field (high jump) while attending Brow of the Hill Christian Brothers College in Derry and he earned his engineering degree at Municipal Technical College Belfast while working full time and supporting his young family. Gerry was known for his excellent work ethic which ultimately led him to over 50 years in manufacturing engineering where he was highly regarded by his colleagues and clients alike. Gerry was known as "a man of few words" but always had a smile on his face and loved the "craic" especially on his many trips back home to family in Ireland. Gerry loved to travel, loved dancing, learning Spanish, playing pool and was a Premier League soccer fanatic.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Agnes Quigley; and brother-in-law, Raymond McLaughlin.
Survivors include two sons, Paul and Damien Quigley; two daughters, Geraldine Clayton (Ronnie) and Aine Harrison (Jack); five granddaughters, Mallari Campbell, Sinea Cruz, Cara (Paul) Peterson, Mackenzie and Brenna Clayton; a grandson, Christian Farrow; two great-grandsons, Landon Quigley and William Peterson; and one great-granddaughter, Kamdyn Cruz.
Gerry is also fondly remembered by his sisters, Frances McLaughlin and Maureen Irvine (Ken); brother, Eugene Quigley (Tina); and many nieces and nephews whom he remained close to over the years in spite of the many miles between them.
A special thank you to Carol Jean "CJ" Findley for her companionship over the last seven years and all his Russellville family including many caregivers and friends.
