Pauline "Ruthie" Crain, age 95, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Legacy Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 27, 1926, in Dover, to George Washington Scott and Mary Jane Davis Scott.

Mrs. Ruth was an excellent seamstress, sewing for family, friends and most of the local dry cleaners. She loved to garden and spent as much time outdoors as possible.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Odell Crain; four brothers, G.W., Roy, Frank and Jim Scott; and one sister, Katie Carey.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Jo and Jerry Whittenburg of Russellville, and Penny Lou Calise of Oklahoma; one son and daughter-in-law, Roger O'Dell and Janice Crain of Columbus, Georgia; and one sister, Ruby Jackson of Russellville.

Arrangements are private and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
