Raymond Harold Chance, age 90, of Russellville, died Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born May 29, 1935, in Pisgah, to Ellis and Hettie Beavers Chance.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a truck driver for 44 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Patsy Ruth Chance; his stepfather, Bill Hall; three brothers, Jim, Allen, and Neal Hall; a daughter, Kathy Short; and two grandchildren, Kenneth Scott Cain and Lilly Freeman.

He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Sandra Chance of Hector, Jimmie and Lauri Dotson of Atkins, and Bradley Freeman of Atkins; two brothers and sister-in-law, Tony and Sherry Hall of Russellville and Timmy Hall of Paris;  a sister, Mary Mason of Ohio, five daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Johney McKibbin of Dardanelle, Patsy Condrey of Flippin, Charlene and Terry Hill of Atkins, Marilyn and Johnny Baker of Atkins; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Brenda Sanders of Dover; 21 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the Shinn Chapel, with Pastor Don Stiles officiating. Burial will be in Goates Cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the chapel.
