Sue McKnight, age 89, of Russellville, died Friday, August 9, 2024, at Russellville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 17, 1935, in Dover to Jessie Devoid and Myrtle Roach Brown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph McKnight; a daughter, Linda Graham; a grandson, Cameron Graham; and five brothers, George, Dwight, Neal, Harvey and Glen Brown.

She was a member of Crow Mountain Baptist Church. She retired after more than 10 years of service at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. Sue enjoyed ironing, but more than anything she adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Susie McKnight of Russellville; two granddaughters, Erin Dodge (Rodney) and Jordan Ragsdale (Will); four great-grandchildren, Cooper Baer, McKinley Baer, Tena Sue Ragsdale and Payne Ragsdale, and three sisters-in-law, Pat Brown, Judy Brown and Minnie Teeter

The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at the Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Howard Kisor Jr. and the Rev. Daniel Baker officiating. Burial will be in the Old Baptist Cemetery, near Center Valley, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff of Russellville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their outstanding care of Sue.

Pallbearers will be Will Ragsdale, Rodney Dodge, Gary Turner, Lee Owens, Mark Andrews Brown and Mark Allen Brown.

The honorary pallbearer will be David Farnsworth.
