Viola Chronister, age 72, of Russellville, died Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock.  She was born September 4, 1951, in Russellville to William Anderson and Dorothy Mamie Seagraves Spencer.

She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Viola enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and garage selling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Chronister; her infant daughter, Angela Spencer; a daughter, Tina Michelle Sirk; and two brothers, William "Billy" Spencer, and Samuel "Sam" Spencer.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, David Allen and Billie Hughes of Russellville, Matthew Lee and Cyndi Hughes of Russellville, and Timothy Ray Hughes and Heather Rhodes-Hughes of Russellville; a daughter, Danielle Chronister of Russellville; a brother, Eugene "Bud" Spencer of Gum Log; two sisters, Shirley Lackey of Dover and Althea Williamson of Gum Log; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at the Shinn Chapel with Dr. Travis Arterbury officiating.  Burial will be in Delphia Cemetery and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m., until service time in the chapel.
